James Kealey was born and lives on the Wirral in 1994. From a very young age, James was always interested in playing the piano and at the age of 7, starting having lessons at Tafel Musik in Birkenhead. In 2007, James moved to Abbey Gate College in Chester where he is currently studying towards his A-Level exams next Summer. The musical life of Abbey Gate College inspired James even more to even play for the school choir and has recently started to accompany the Chester Cathedral Choir on the organ. James is currently a music student at the Cathedral is is receiving lessons from one of the organists there.
James is currently in his School Chapel Choir under the direction of Stewart Smith, who has allowed James to accompany the school choir on various occasions and recently, James has started to conduct the school choir. He conducted Eric Whitacre's Sleep with an audience of over 500.

James has received ABRSM Grade 5 Theory and is now studying for Grade 8 Piano and Organ this term, as well as expanding on more repetoire beyond graded standard.
James most recently performing Rachmaninoff's G Minor Prelude to over 500 people at school concert. James has the determination, patience and ambition for all his students to succeed to the highest level they can reach.
A fan of the ABRSM Syllabus, James will be able to help students receive qualifications in piano playing through the ABRSM, starting at the very beginning, and helping his students progress though all the skills that a musician needs. Whether a hobby or a future profession, James will help all students learn at their own pace, in their own time. Playing and learning the piano should never be a chore, James makes playing fun, by allowing students to come to James with pieces in mind they want to learn and allowing students the choice of what they learn.
James is an enthusiastic young musician, who hopes to make piano as enjoyable as possible. James is happy to teach students up to a level of around ABRSM grade 3 and is happy to teach at his home, in Wallasey or to travel to students houses on the Wirral.
